Angel Albino Corzo International Airport stands in a valley near Tuxtla Gutierrez, the Capital City of the State of Chiapas in Southeast Mexico.
The airport is located 187nm Northwest of Guatemala City La Aurora International (MGGT), 440nm Southwest of Cancun International (MMUN), and 386nm Southeast of Mexico City Benito Juarez International (MMMX).
MMTG started operations on June 2006 replacing the old Francisco Sarabia National Airport (also MMTG), now closed. It handles 350 daily operations and 850,000 passengers a year.
It has one main terminal with 6 gates and a general aviation apron, one runway (14/32), 8,200 feet long at an altitude of 1,495 ft. The navigation facilities in the field includes a VOR/DME TGZ (115.7 mhz) and a ILS ITGZ (109.7 mhz) for runway 32.
